Wer kennt es nicht? Man kommt nach Hause und findet eine müde Katze vor. Warum schlafen Katzen so viel? Ist es normal, dass sie fast den ganzen Tag (ver)schlafen? In diesem Beitrag verraten wir dir, warum ausreichend Schlaf für unsere Samtpfoten so wichtig ist. Wie lange schlafen Katzen überhaupt und ab wann sollte man Grund zur Sorge haben?
Eine Katze schläft viel - durchschnittlich schlafen Katzen etwa 13 - 16 Stunden am Tag. Faktoren wie Charakter, Alter und Gesundheitszustand spielen hierbei eine große Rolle. Die Samtpfote verschläft ca. 2/3 des Tages. Wir Menschen hingegen verschlafen etwa ein Drittel des Tages. Somit schläft die Katze fast doppelt so viel, wie wir. Weshalb sind Katzen ständig müde und warum brauchen Katzen so viel mehr Schlaf als wir Menschen?
